Something Needs to Change
People who integrate diverse elements to create novel solutions and creations don’t necessarily come up through normal channels or have typical backgrounds.
Time will tell how useful, successful and novel my solutions and creations are, but I certainly don’t have a typical background for an intellectual, an artist, or a businessperson. (For more on my work, see http://proxthink.com, http://artdown.com, and http://proxearth.com.)
As such, I don’t conduct my intellectual, art or business affairs in a typical way either.
Nevertheless, something needs to change, because what I’m doing to make ends meet right now is killing me. It’s hard on my body, and takes enough time that I’m not making good progress on my various projects.

Flow of Life
Ultimately, perhaps there is no reason to get up in the morning, or to start, stop or continue doing anything, or to enjoy anything, other than this reason: to be in the flow of life.
Being in the flow of life is another way of saying being related to life. Being is about relating, which is one of the foundations of ProxThink.
Many organizations, systems and processes, or parts thereof, from philosophy, religion and books, to businesses, markets and governments, to friends, networks, associations and family relationships, exist at least in part to keep us in the flow of life, or encourage us in the flow of life.

Kevin Kelly, Intelligence, Social Media, Humanity
Kevin Kelly’s working definition of intelligence is anything that talks to itself.
Social media is helping us talk to and among ourselves in new and different ways. (By social media, I mean social networks, blogs, Twitter, Facebook, and the wide variety of social websites and social software.)
This is probably ramping up our intelligence, both as individuals and as groups.
